All Things Fashion & Beauty Mixer 2

So if you have been following my blog a bit, then you might be familiar with the ATFB Mixer. If you’re unfamiliar, well then that’s perfectly fine too, because you can read all about it right here in this this AWESOME write-up.

Ms. Mo McKenzie does it once again ya’ll! She managed to get the cream of the crop in all things fashion and beauty (see what I did there?) into one swanky little spot to bestow priceless gems of information on how to be successful in your industry. Who is Mo McKenzie?

If you don’t know, she is a self-made style guru who styles all types of people. While she is out here sharing her talents and gifts with us regular gals; her resume also consists of notable celebrity clients. Mo’s personal style is unique, funky, with all sorts of fly wrapped all into one little petite package named Mo.

After attending her first mixer, I was actually excited to be at the 2nd one. Despite the fact that I was just recovering from being sick; I was determined to be there!

This ATFB did not disappoint. Her panel included some names I was already familiar with and some new:

This time, Mo had a hostess come and moderate the panel, so Ms. Octavia Moss of the Double 0 Styles Blog was in the building shining brightly and beautifully.

Fashionably Lethal– will be venturing into bloggimg, rebranding and launching including a name change! Essentially streamlining all her various business talents.

Queen of Massage ATL– is perfecting her branding and even stepping into a new role as marketing connoisseur!

Style is She–Β  Rebranding is the name of the game for this Diva and she will be authoring a book!

Simone Victoria– will boutique her clothes but also wants to continue motivating and inspiring women to follow their dreams, and she too will be stepping into the blogging venue!

Aisha Photography– working on new projects Some of those include work with Vibe magazine, working with a celebrity hair stylist and a Dope Addiction visual project. Now while she didn’t share all the details on all of her upcoming project; I will definitely be on the lookout because it all sounded very intriguing to me!

Mo Mckenzie– will continue to inspire people to aspire! She will be hosting A Seat at the Table Brunch on November 19th, she will continue with ATFB Mixers, the next one going on the road to New Jersey! And she will continue to educate stylists to not only be passionate in their craft but most importantly professional too.

Some take away nuggets for me were this: Be inspired but DON’T copy! I think that is something so key to remember. As each of us creators, bloggers, stylists, photographers etc. continue on in our various fields, it’s so imperative that we remain authentic! If we focus on what we’re doing and not what someone else is doing; we will be less inclined to feel a pressure to “keep up” which will also eliminate the wrong desire to copy someone else’s swag in an effort to emulate their success.

The other word of advice given? Be fearless! I think that goes without saying right?

In all, I enjoyed myself once again at Mo McKenzie’s ATFB Mixer. It’s not hard to do when you’re dealing with someone as professional, kind and authentic as Mo.

Make sure you checkout all the lovely ladies of the panel and checkout some photos from the mixer below!
