My Favorite Skin Makeup Products

Hey boos & baes! Today I am shifting the tone of my blog to something a little more lighthearted than it has been the last few blog posts. And we deserve some lighthearted fair in the midst of all this crazy. So, today we are chatting my favorite skin beauty products in 2020! So without further ado let’s get into it.

Primer

I will be the first to admit that in the beginning of my makeup career, I didn’t necessarily believe that primer made a difference in makeup application. I felt that way until I tried it and it made a world of difference for me. (I know that it may not be everyone’s experience but this was mine.)

My most recent primer purchase is also my favorite hands down! And that is the MILK Hydro Grip Primer (retail: $30). Being that I am an oily, combination skin face person; I was always against hydrating formulas. However, the Hydro Grip is a sticky primer and my makeup literally does not budge when I use it. My face also does not get any more oily than when I use a mattifying primer.

Foundation

Skin is literally my favorite part of the whole makeup process. There’s something about the way it blends down into flawless perfection that just gives me all the feels. 2020 was my year of stepping outside of drugstore brands and exploring more “higher end” brands.

The two foundations that I absolutely fell in love with were Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation (retail: $49) and Uoma Beauty Say What Foundation (retail: $39). I also have gotten into stick foundations and my two favorites can be found at Walmart, Target or any drugstore! Milani Conceal & Perfect (retail: $5-$9) and Black Opal Color Stick Foundation (retail $7-$9).

Concealer

The right concealer can go a long way! And quite honestly my knowledge about concealer and my application technique of concealer has come a long way. My favorite concealers are honestly drug store concealers. While I liked Uoma Beauty’s Stay Woke concealer, Fenty Beauty Concealer and even Nars Cream Pot concealer; my favs aren’t any of those.

Number one on my list is E.L.F Camo Concealer (retail: $6). So far I’ve only tried the matte version although it comes in a hydrating formula as well. For $6 I definitely got the most bang for my buck because it lasts long, mattes down really quickly and provides a beautiful full coverage.

My other favorite concealer is a non-matte formula and is the Milani Conceal & Perfect concealer (retail: $5-$7). This foundation is so creamy and luxurious and thick. It provides coverage so full it can wipe away the sins of dark circles and late nights!

Loose Powder

However you decide to use loose powder; it’s important that the powder be the right shade and texture! I’ve tried a few different brands of loose powder, but Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder (Retail: $5-$7) is my favorite hands down.

It’s a nice fine milled powder, isn’t super cakey and they have a versatile selection of shades for the perfect highlight and setting that limits flashback!

The Wrap Up

I know that in the months to come, I’m going to try more products and more brands but for now; the picks I shared today are my favs! How about you? What are some of your favorite make up brands??

Until Next Time,
