Ipsy Review: October Glam Bag

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening Beauties! I’m back, albeit late; nonetheless I’m here. Before I proceed, I just wanted to take a moment out to say THANK YOU! I just started beauty blogging in August as apart of my topics here on the blog; and ya’ll have been uber supportive of me! I felt pretty silly doing it but now I am gaining confidence. I appreciate ya’ll!

Now that I’ve shared that, let’s jump into October’s Glam bag!

Ok, so usually love the little bags I get; but I’ll be honest: I wasn’t impressed. I just felt like…blah. I think they were trying to get into the spirit of Halloween; hence the little bat on the zipper. But I don’t celebrate Halloween so it definitely didn’t have an impact. The bag did have nice detailing with the lace.

Anyway…let’s see what was actually in my bag shall we?

Awesome goodies!

Furless Blender Brush- My best guess is this brush is supposed to be for eyes-shadow, but if you watched my very first Get Ready With Me- Basic Face YouTube video then you’ll know I used it to apply concealer. It was a tad too big for me and my eye-shadow, but definitely worked well for me spot applying concealer.

Context All Day Eye Cream– Ok so, the verdict is still out on this one my beauties! Being that I’m not actually certain exactly this cream is supposed to do; my best guess based on Google search is to “revitalize”. Welp, almost a week in and I still look like I’ve been sucker punched in the face…so er uh yea- purchase at your own risk.

Bye Bye Pores Pressed Finishing Powder- I am still exploring ways to control shine; and my attempts have been decent at best. I have tried all sorts of finishing powders; pressed and loose, with color and translucent and I’m never quite achieving what I want. So I was intrigued to try this brand. It was nice but it was the equivalent of using the brand i use now which is Hard Candy. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it right? So there’s really not a need to switch brands based off this experience. However, I would recommend it if perhaps you don’t have a brand you’re committed to using.

JM Solutions Water Luminous Jelly Cleanser- I love the way this smells!!! However, it’s supposed to be a foaming cleanser but doesn’t really foam as well as other foaming facial cleansers I used. It gets the job done though. My face always feels nice and refreshed after I use it.

Nail Medic Charcoal Infused Nail polish – As I’ve stated in previous posts; I don’t use the nail polish on my nails due to the fact I get gel when I go to the nail salon. However, this is a beautiful color and looks fabulous on my toes! We’ll see how long it lasts without chipping.

In all, I give this Ipsy Bag a B-! There was nothing that I really truly LOVED ya know? We’ll see how November’s bag goes!

What about you Beauties; what was in your bags?
