This breaks my heart and inspires me all at the same time.


When I created this blog, I was a full-time mom, working from home, homeschooling, crafting, gardening, cooking, consuming less, and dreaming of alpaca ranches and homesteading. The purpose of this blog was to share the journey, the journey toward living a more holistic, natural life. I planned on posting homeschool curriculum, activities, recipes, and other lifestyle content. Little did I know, a few short months back, my life and the lives of my family would be forever altered.

In the fall of 2015, my son, Razi, began his sophomore year of high school.


Razi has had a tracheostomy for most of his life, so things have always been a challenge for us. Add to that, teen angst, rebellion, educational challenges, and trying to raise an independent, well-integrated child with chronic, special medical needs.
